Green Smoothie

Green smoothies are a great way to get a load of nutrition.

For a more substantial smoothie, add an avocado, 1 tsp flax oil and / or 1 tsp flax or hemp seeds.

Preparation time: 5 mins

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 organic apple or pear, the flesh of a pink grapefruit

  • 2 or more handfuls of organic green leaves - spinach, watercress, rocket, kale

  • 2 cups of filtered or spring water

  • pinch of sea or rock salt

  • 1 tsp of chlorella or spirulina (optional)

Method:

  • Blend the ingredients, adding more water if it is too thick for you

  • Drink within 3 hours of making
