Start Your Day Right Granola

Good to eat any time of the day.

Delicious served with hemp milk (hulled hemp seeds blended with water), sour cherries and coconut flakes.

Preparation time: 10-15 mins, plus soaking and dehydrating time

Serves: 8-10 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup buckwheat, soaked for 1/2 an hour and sprouted for a day or two until a small tail appears

  • 1 cup soaked flax seeds

  • 1 cup almonds, soaked and drained

  • 1/2 cup walnuts, soaked and drained

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, soaked and drained

  • 1 or 2 organic apples

  • flesh and zest of an organic orange

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • pinch salt

Method:

  • Process the almonds, walnuts and sunflower seeds in a food processor until fine. Put in a bowl

  • Process the apples, orange, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in the food processor until smooth. Add to the bowl and mix the ingredients well

  • Spread on a couple of teflex sheets and dehydrate for 12-24 hours until crisp
